The Mk86 WCC Video Monitor is a modernized LCD upgrade for the display on the US Navy's Weapons Control Console of the Mk86 Gun Fire Control System. The Applied Display Technology LCD Monitor encodes an analog CS-343 video input and then scales the image to SXGA RGB. The scaled output is fed into an FPGA where alphanumeric eata is overlayed. The FPGA's output is converted to LVDS before being transmitted to the TFT Panel. An ATmega1280 is used to initialize the Encoder, Scaler and FPGA as well as manipulate Brightness and Contrast.
